Light Pizza Sliders Ingredients

  • Savory Butter Rolls (24): The perfect size for sliders, these small rolls have a neutral flavor.
  • Pizza Sauce (1 cup): Any flavor of jarred pizza sauce works well for sliders.
  • Pepperoni (72 slices): Savory, salty, and smoky with a mild chili and garlic kick, pepperoni is the perfect meat for the sliders for that pizza flavor.
  • Daisy Cottage Cheese (2 cups, blended): The creamy, cheese, slightly salty, protein-packed filling for the sliders.
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (2 cups): The classic pizza cheese combines seamlessly with the cottage cheese to melt into a savory cheesy bite.
  • Salted Butter (1/2 cup, melted): Adds a rich flavor and carries the seasonings for the rolls.
  • Finely Shredded or Grated Parmesan Cheese (3 tablespoons): Adds a sharp, nutty, cheesy flavor to the seasoning for the top of the rolls.
  • Garlic Powder (½ teaspoon): The classic savory, pungent flavor synonymous with pizza and Italian foods.
  • Italian Seasoning (1 ½ teaspoons): Adds a warm, earthy, and savory flavor with a perfect blend of herbs.

Substitutions, Variations, and Tips

  • Keep the rolls connected, if possible. It makes them easier to spread with toppings.
  • Feel free to add veggies such as diced green peppers, onions, or mushrooms.
  • Sliced salami or other cured meats may be used in place of pepperoni.
  • Provolone or Swiss cheese may be used in place of some or all of the mozzarella.
  • Romano or Asiago may be used in place of parmesan cheese.
