Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup Daisy Brand Sour Cream
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

Combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Combine the brown sugar and sour cream in a large bowl. Add the beaten egg to the sugar and sour cream mixture. Add the dry ingredients to the sour cream mixture; stir until well blended. Pour the batter into an 8x8-inch nonstick cake pan, sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
