Layered Cheese, Bean, and Avocado Dip

Ingredients

1 15 ounce can black beans

1/2 teaspoon chili powder
*ancho chili powder may be substituted

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon grated lime peel

1 medium diced avocado

2 tablespoons lime juice
-
1 diced Roma tomato
-
1 1/4 cups Daisy Brand 2% Cottage Cheese

2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Directions
Rinse and drain black beans. Layer the black beans on 10-inch serving plate. Sprinkle with chile powder, cumin and lime peel. Layer avocado over beans; drizzle with lime juice. Top with diced tomatoes. Stir cilantro into cottage cheese; layer over tomatoes. If desired, sprinkle with a little additional chile powder and shredded lettuce. Serve with chips. For a heartier meal, add grilled chicken or ground beef.
