Ingredients

  • 1 can red sour cherries in syrup
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 3 ounce box cherry flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup Daisy Brand Sour Cream
  • 1 dash salt

Directions

Drain cherry juice into a measuring cup. Add water to make 1 ¼ cup liquid total. Bring liquid to a boil. Remove from heat and add gelatin. Stir to dissolve. Chill until mixture is thickening, but not set. Fold in sour cream and a dash of salt. Turn into muffin tins sprayed with non-stick spray or one 8 x 8 inch pan. Chill until firm. Unmold and serve. Optional – Serve garnished with 2 tablespoons of melted cherry jam and a drizzle of sour cream. To melt jam, microwave in 15 second intervals until liquid. To make sour cream pourable, beat vigorously for several minutes.
