Ingredients

  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar divided use
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup Daisy Brand Sour Cream
  • 2 egg yolks

Directions

Crust: sift flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt and baking powder, cut in shortening, add milk and blend. (Dough will be very soft.) Spread in 9x12-inch pan, bringing dough up the sides. Spread filling from can evenly over top. Topping: Combine sour cream with slightly beaten egg yolks and 2 tablespoons sugar and spread over filling. Baking in 350 degree oven 50-55 minutes or until topping is set and crust is browned. Serve in squares, cold or warm.
