• Spoon out the Dollop of Daisy that you need and promptly return the remaining portion to the refrigerator.
• Prior to placing it back in the refrigerator, smooth the surface of the sour cream flat with a spoon to reduce the potential for separation.
• After first opening, remove the foil seal from the package completely and use the plastic lid to reseal.
• If the product is used infrequently, some natural separation may occur. Simply stir the product gently to blend it back together.

What do the dates on the package mean?

The date on the package is a sell by date, meaning this is how long the stores have to sell it.

How long does Daisy Brand Sour Cream stay fresh once opened?

As a general guideline, you can expect the product to stay fresh for approximately two weeks after opening the container. By smelling, tasting, and looking at the appearance, you can use your best judgment to ensure the product’s freshness.

If I have not opened my sour cream and it is past the code date on the package, can I still use it?

Since the date on the container is a sell by date, it is okay to use any unopened sour cream within two weeks following the date. Because of its perishable nature, it is best to consume it within two weeks of opening, even if the sell by date is in the future.

Yes, Daisy Sour Cream is gluten-free. Our Daisy Brand Regular and Daisy Brand Light Sour Cream products contain no starch. We use cornstarch, not a wheat starch, in our Daisy No Fat Sour Cream.

Are Daisy Brand Sour Cream products irradiated?

No, Daisy Brand Sour Cream products are not irradiated. Radiation exposure to milk products damages their delicate taste.

From where does Daisy Brand source its milk and cream?

The vast majority comes from Texas and New Mexico.

Are Daisy Brand containers recyclable?

Yes, our plastic containers are recyclable. Daisy Brand uses Polypropylene containers because it is more suitable than other plastics for maintaining the quality of our products. Facilities that recycle Polypropylene in your area may be limited. Please reference “recycling” in the yellow pages or contact the Department of Public Works in your town or county to see if facilities are available.
